DJT & Rusyd Rosman – Breathing Space (Brohoof Studios Remix) | Hardstyle

It’s pretty cool to hear Brohoof Studios trying out hardstyle again, and it completely transforms Rusyd and DJT’s original house banger into something much heavier, while still maintaining a lot of the melodic elements. Even as someone who’s never really been a fan of hardstyle, I gotta say I’m digging this.

[P@D] Tridashie feat. IMShadow007 and Brittney Ackerman – Pony Girl (TPressleyJ Remix) | Hybrid Trap

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 5 March 2018.

We’ve had a few remixes of the song from Tridashie’s mega-hit animation ‘Pony Girl’, but this one from the quickly-improving TPressleyJ is probably my favourite so far! It makes excellent use of the vocals in a minimalist atmosphere between the drops, which are full of some pretty awesome heavy hybrid trap sound design.

Paloris – Smiles (Mr. A.M. Remix) | Future Bass

Well this is interesting! Mr A.M. takes on Paloris’ tropical house and turns it into a weird and wonderful hybrid kinda future bass, bringing in a little bit of inspiration from the original genre and some nifty growls to compliment and contrast the H U G E saws!

Daniel Ingram – Luna’s Future (FITB Remix) | Electro

Wrapping up their own winter season, FillyInTheBox brings us this fascinating remix of the Hearth’s Warming Tale favorite. Combining a thick beat behind Luna’s singing at the slow tempo does wonders to emphasize the dark tone of the setting. A unique take compared to the many remixes of this track, FITB made an awesome mix that stands out by itself!

Daniel Ingram – Flawless (Mantlegen Remix) | Trap / Future Bass

Just another cool remix of the cool song Flawless, this time Mantlegen kills the show with this amazing Trap remix, full of cool synths and cool drumming work. It is short, but I will promise that you will love it! Good job Mantlegen, keep up the good work!

Ponies At Dawn – Rebirth | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

a0202306754_10

Listening to the live album release stream for Rebirth, the thing that strikes me most is how brony musicians are always able to make such diverse songs, and to such a high level of production. From the (admittedly majority) range of electronic styles to the big rock and metal songs, to a full range of acoustic and orchestral tracks, there are constant surprises in store.

We’ll be featuring plenty of songs from the album as they’re released on YouTube by the respective artists or the P@D YouTube channel over the coming weeks. Until then, the album is available to download for any given price on Ponies At Dawn’s bandcamp page.

FlutterRage – The Magic Inside (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal

Well here’s a remix I didn’t know I needed. FlutterRage combines the soothing beauty we know and love in The Magic Inside with some thrashing metal accompaniments. Adding heavy guitar chords and a sweet percussive beat to the original vocals actually mixes very well and brings a lot of energy to the track. Combining these elements with a souped up piano part makes this is a fun take on a classic show song!

Daniel Ingram – You’ll Play Your Part (loophoof Remix) | Progressive House

This remix of You’ll Play Your Part (Imo one of the most Underrated songs of the show!) is A-MA-ZING! Really, I love how the vocals go so PERFECTLY with the Melody and theme, especially with the chorus of the song! The calm moments with the piano and ambience, the synths at the jumpy moments, the mix down… EVERYTHING! It’s literally everything! everything is perfect! Loophoof, this is very well done my friend! Keep it up ^^ love for you my man ❤ exactly what you should get and deserve for this.

Assertive Fluttershy – Boo Hoo (Mikuma Remix) | Future Bounce / Progressive House

Here’s a remix of a true fandom classic by Mikuma! I love Assertive’s stuff, and Mikuma’s remix breathes new life into his work. It’s upbeat and energetic and cheerful, just like the original!

Daniel Ingram – I’ve Got To Find a Way (Modern Bard Remix) | Orchestral

From one to another, another to one. A mark of one’s destiny singled out alone, fulfilled.” Twilight could only express hopelessness at her accidental corruption of her friend’s destinies. Modern Bard delivers us a re-imagination of this tragic moment by pairing it with a taste of the 80s. New levels of emotion augment this classic song with somber guitar notes, and an ambient backing of percussion, brass, and beautiful synths of a bygone era. Truly an epic take on Twilight’s emotional struggle to save her friends.
