The Ponytones – Poison Joke | Classic Rock

The highly-awaited new release of our beloved pony band The Ponytones is finally here! This time it’s a ponification of Jimi Hendrix, and the Classic Rock vibes are as strong as ever. While Zecora’s warning voice from S01E09 Bridle Gossip resonates throughout the song, lovely and clever pony lyrics sung by our own zebra Wootmaster are paying much tribute to the episode. At the same time, Jame’s incredible guitar play is paying much tribute to Hendrix and the crazy solos he’s known for! Top-notch bass by Sky and drums by Wootmaster are completing the frame for a stunning result that will forever remain gold. Check out The Ponytones’ official Discord server for behind-the-scenes and a wonderful place full of passionate people!

Indie Notes – The Show | Acoustic Rock / Alternative Rock

This is some really heavy feels! Indie Notes comes back with a really touching song about Trixie and how she tries to hide the true self from the audience during her shows. A song that probably can give you nostalgia of old Trixie episodes and can led you a tear to the eye! The riffs of the acoustic guitar are well performed and the vocals are really amazing! Looks like that Radiohead and David Bowie meet up! The lyrics are also really emotional and deep! Good job Indie! You did good, hope to listen more from you!

2013 was a long time ago, so it’s awesome to see a complete re-work of BroniKoni’s big hit from back then, Keep The Beat Alive, for their upcoming 2018 album. Complete with a pretty awesome video that shows like a big Vinyl Scratch concert, the vocals are top notch with some fantastic choruses. The instrumental also is excellently produced, with a great mix of rock and synth vibes.

A nice way to help end the last couple of days of the year with a bang, we have a new song from Prince! Featuring a fair bit of synth influence, this track nonetheless has some pretty awesome metal riffs throughout and the vocals are top notch. It tells a pretty great story of Tempest Shadow, so check it out!

4everfreebrony – Little Show (Real World Ponified) | Alternative Rock

In a lively re-imagining of Matchbox 20’s Real World, 4everfreebrony questions what it would be like to work on the show in real life. This track works beautifully as both a tribute to a well-known song and band as well as a tribute to all of the staff that works so hard to produce a cartoon and culture that we all love. Utilizing his own style a bit in this ponification of the original track, it is easy to feel 4everfreebrony’s appreciation to everyone involved with MLP:FiM!

Definitely one of Sable’s most ambitious projects yet, this heavy power metal track tells the story of the MLP movie in an awesome way, with some great vocals and heavy guitars. It’s also all about those epic solos, featuring 3 different guitar solos from 3 different metal artists too. It’s a pretty epic time, so make sure to check it out!
