Rarity Advocate – Not a Space Pony | Synthwave / Indietronica

This track drives us to places, inspired by the My Little Pony Manga – Star Dancer, the Advocate of Rarity bring us an dreamy and ethereal synthwave track with some indie/psychedelic elements like if Animal Collective, Brian Eno and Perturbator meet in the same place and started to jam and create a collaborative track, a really well nice track, and I love it!
Nice one! Keep up the good work, Advocate!

One Track Mind – End is Neigh | Album | Synthwave / Ambient

One Track Mind introduces a collection of eleven undeservingly discarded electronic tracks. The strong sub and morphing resonances of the prelude track gives a taste of the wonderfully crafted ambient pieces in this album. Then the octave-switching neck-breaker known as Drama that follows gives you a taste of the synth-wave roots. The masterpiece Some Days, being my personal favorite of the album, incorporates a spatial piano playing tense chords and high melodies with a swingy drum track following it. The ending to Some Days also creates a near-perfect transition to the next song (both title-wise and sonically). For more ambient brilliance, follow the filtered saws and synth swells of Lethargy and the impactful basses of Hiatus. For more retrowave action, mosh along to the dark Deicide and the hopefulness of Neo-Canterlot! Varnished with consistently good intros and a piano composition as the outro, this solid Bandcamp release will surely be enjoyed by ambient and synth-wave listeners alike!

[BFK] One Track Mind – Nostalgia (Reprise) | Darksynth / Synthwave

One track to talk about and a million words aren’t enough. As a part of a charity album Brony Forever organised by Bronies for Kindness , it definitely adds quality to the album. The amazing sound design and the progression of the track makes it a style that we all know and love. It shows through it’s dark and powerful synths that it is okay to feel sad that BronyCon ended, but it says even more. Even though BronyCon is no more, we should be happy that it brought us so much joy, excitement and that it brought the whole fandom even closer as a whole. The atmosphere of the track that goes from calm to dark and then building on it with a very emotional melody shows the process of losing something or someone. I said one track to talk about and a million words aren’t enough, well, maybe 3 are. One Track Mind.

[BFK] Arabesque Sympony & Danilo Pantusa – Thank You And Goodbye | Synthpop / Classic Rock

From new compilation album Brony Forever, this tribute to BronyCon is carrying the musicians’ feelings, and it’s so wonderful how they came together for a musical tribute to BronyCon through that album as the last edition of the community’s biggest convention happened. Mellow vocals and bittersweet synths are completed by a requiem on the guitar with that solo, making for a very rich song!

Koron Korak – City Sky Lines | Soundtrack

Koron always has an interesting track to bring to the table and City Sky Lines is no exception! It breathes an authentic early 90s cyberpunk arcade game from its fast pace, gritty analog basslines and leads and the visuals are spot on as well! While fairly repetitive (as is the nature of such opening themes) there is enough changes and progression going on throughout to be engaging an interesting and I really have to appreciate what they went for with this piece!

Altius Volantis – Pinkception | Synthwave

Some Pinkie-flavored Synthwave from the upcoming Equestrian Journey EP, this new treat from Altius is so welcome, with the signature bliss of the genre doing wonders to create a stylish and relaxing atmosphere. This goes to show how vesatile of a musician Altius is! Also check out his latest musical venture, the Lyra-themed track Human!

Note: Since the original video got removed, you may find the MP3 file of the song here.

Vylet Pony & Sylver – Penumbra | Progressive Electronic

Inspired by Prog Rock and Starlight, Vylet wrote a 10-minutes progressive piece with the help of Sylver and they did absolute wonders! The very emotional synths and melodies are just divine, not to mention the whole track is accompanying a story appearing in the visuals of the video as well as on Fimfiction. The gorgeous-as-always vocals are pure bliss as well, and we can’t help but get entranced by such a masterpiece of concept and emotion!

Koron Korak – Confrontations | Darksynth

Koron Korak is always good for an off-meta style track and Confrontations is certainly unique! The track starts with off with a strong, ominous organ and transitions into a distorted, almost nightmarish track. The prevailing synth sets the dark tone while the drum beat keeps the intense emotion. Some high voices and powerful bass bring the track together in an awesome and powerful way!

ShalMusicFX – The Queen’s Revenge | Synthpop

The creator of the memorable ponification track Starlight’s Demons is back, with a so very welcome song about Chrysalis, featuring vocals from the Queen of the Hive herself! The lyrics sung in that voice are really doing wonders at expressing the villains’ plea for revenge, as the lovely electronic instrumental brings its share of melodic and emotional moments!

Vylet Pony – Monolith to a Halcyon (feat. Namii & GalaxySquid) | Synth-Rock

This has got to be one of my favorite tracks from Vylet Pony’s latest album: Homeward. Vylet has long been known for their amazing vocal talent, and when accompanied by Namii and GalaxySquid, the resulting sound is nothing less then stellar. There are a few changes throughout the arrangement that keep the feeling of wonder alive.  The song tells of a mysterious room, but there is much more to the story…
