Daniel Ingram – Open Up Your Eyes (Brilliant Venture Remix) (feat. Koa) | Dubstep

What a PERFECTLY timed release from Brilliant Venture! I remember hearing whispers about something like this in the works, but I was BLOWN AWAY by this one! The classic Brilliant Venture dubstep sound is joined by the absolutely gorgeous vocal work of Koa, who does a fantastic job of performing what sounds to be an extended version of Open Up Your Eyes! The extended lyrics are written by Venture, and do a wonderful job of expanding on the anger and despair felt by Tempest regarding her past. A brilliant (wink wink) performance by two amazing artists, definitely worth a listen (or two! or four!!)

TheBluishPony ft. 15.ai – RariHentai Deluxe | Hard Trance

Warning: graphic content!

Some creators have been using their imaginations with 15.ai lately and TheBluishPony utilizes the fandom technology to bring us this meme of a track. RariHentai Deluxe, as you might gather from the title, is a lewd-ish, Rarity themed song with a fast tempo and hard, Darude-style synth. The Rarity chops come from the 15.ai and consist of various…noises we’ll say. The track is full of all the degenerative content you could want which makes jamming along that much more fun.

[P@D] Dropper Vampire & Heartsong – Block Out The Sun (Feat. Koa) | Big Room House

So everypony today we return to Big Room House, with Dropper Vampire’s “Block Out The Sun”. This song starts out with a lovely amazing house beat, with shortly after the beginning Koa singing about how this is a new era for Equestria with her at the top and while a universe ruled by Koa doesn’t sound as bad, that thought quickly escapes as she commands her changelings to take over and reveals that she is singing Chrysalis. In the drop that happens right after the reveal you can hear why I called Big Room House a special genre, if well done, which this song more then is, BRH can create a upbeat melody that is dark at the same time creating a fantastic feeling for the whole drop. After the drop the beat makes way for a piano which reinforces this feeling of happy doom BRH always gives you. After the piano Koa explains more of her plan to infiltrate the ponies from within. After that the beat takes the main role for some time accompanied by an evil Koa laugh that, even after my tenth listen through still gives me shivers. Then buildup as Koa commands her changelings to finally execute her orders and take over Equestria.

[P@D] Camelia – Start Button | Complextro

Okay, who let Trixie hog the VR headset?! Aside from the cute thumbnail art, this track sure sets the tone for the release of P@D Eclipse. At track 7, we get a song about a unicorn that loves her VR games a bit too much, and she’s dragging poor Starlight Glimmer along for the ride. (If Starlight got this for Trixie then I am sure she has buyer’s remorse right about now!) The music itself is full of classic 8-bit chiptune goodness and some deep, hard-hitting dubstep melodies that are sure to pull anypony into this adventure of platform gaming pony-style. Camelia has really stepped up with this extremely addicting arrangement. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself. Someone should tell Starlight that her magic would be more broken in a game world, heh…

Glaze – Beyond Her Garden (Songbird Choir Remix) | Hybrid Orchestral

(You can listen to the classic right here!)

Woah, talk about a brony classic getting an overhaul in this remix by Songbird Choir! Oh, Glaze’s classic vocals and that catchy chorus that sounds like it is inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” is now intertwined with some pretty orchestra elements that really make this remix so fun and dance happy. Music like this is all a part of what they do over in the Dustcar group, which gives musicians a theme for which they have a limited time to make and enter a song in that round of friendly competition. The melodies are delightful and the mixing and modding of the vocals is a sweet jiving sound for the ears! Catch this remix and have some fun, my bronies. Seven Ponies – Shadows | Melodic Dubstep

I’m not sure why this song fell short of making it on P@D Eclipse, but there is no way I am going to let a track like this go unnoticed. Not on this Qilin’s watch. Nightmare Moon is always watching and waiting in the shadows for her moment, or is this Princess Luna on Nightmare Night walking around as Nightmare Moon, cosplaying her darker self for her holiday? Either way, the melodies are fitting for a dark and powerful force making itself known. They will convince you that the princess of the night demands your love…and your SWEETS! The Dubstep parts of this track make you feel that the princess is just looking for a good time. Luna walks around with other ponies talking proudly like her former self and dancing to these bangers on her night! Or is it all a trap by the real Nightmare Moon? This track does pack a great punch for any Nightmare Moon fan. The most notable thing about this track is its constant flow of dark, mythical energy that forms the core of the song. Those keynotes that go running with the bassline are killer. It’s truly a party with the Mare in the Moon. Ya better bring cider to offer her! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Studio Quinn – Dreams, A Luna Song (feat. JustKat) | Pop

We’ve got a dreamy track here about Princess Luna finding love; the only problem is that it’s only in the dream realm. Quinn once again teams up with JustKat to sing a love ballad. There are some very soft vocals with some soft rock guitar melodies that wrap themselves around the duo singing about the dreamers’ dream lives. The vocals tell the story of how this relationship developed over time as Luna kept showing up in this stallion’s dreams and those butterflies then started to happen between them. The story is pretty tender and sweet but also problematic due to circumstances that are out of their control, so their love only happens in their dreams. But knowing Princess Luna, she will find this stallion, and friendship and romance will win in the end. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Voltex Pixel – Assignments | Lo-fi

Oh, this is different! Voltex Pixel, putting out some Lo-Fi. Let’s do this! Oh, this track is so adorkable and so smooth, and you just can’t help but die from the artwork of Twilight Sparkle! The beat and melody sounds like a mix of smooth R&B with how the beat flows along with the vibing cool vocal chops in the background. Mixed in is the melody which is so cute and wondrous! You can say the Big Princess Twilight is looking back at her time as a student and smiling at the good times! Lo-Fi and Bookhorse! So relaxing! As always this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

[Equinity] Blackened Blue – Maybe (feat. MC-Arch) (Tw3Lv3 Remix) | Hip Hop

A remix of this track already! Well to be fair this single has been out for a bit. But when it comes to Equinity 03: Breach, it is always worth telling people about this amazing album. I wrote an article about the original track for ASOS: Brownie, and you can check that out here. Tw3Lv3, who has frankly been one of the musicians in this fandom that has been on fire most of this year, has yet again remixed a track and given it its own flavor. Blackened Blue’s beats and MC-Arch’s lyrics are now reinforced with a very slick hip hop beat that gives this track a satisfying thump. But wait and watch this video where Tw3Lv3 pops up–this dude can play guitar and play the drums! Talk about throwing the rock back into this track! What a treat. As always this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Yuru – Call Me Choco | Future Bass

Today we’ve got ourselves another lovely track from the talented Yuru (Redstone Brony on YT). The track starts out with the sound of an ocean which is immediately joined by the lovely main beat and some more natural sounds. A synth and a drum loop quickly join in to make the beat as lively as can be. Shortly thereafter most of the sounds stop and make way for a small but sweet build up,  and the drop is introduced by something I’ve only heard in one other song–a water drop sound–which really fits well not only with the ensuing, amazing synth fest that is the drop but also with the background image, creating an atmosphere of pure contentment. The drop itself is accompanied by voice samples and the sound of a camera click, reinforcing the beach theme of the track, and the water drop can be heard again as well. After the drop the whole beat goes silent to make way for a lovely Piano accompanied only by the sounds of nature, giving this part an amazing Chillout-vibe. After giving the listener a few moments to collect themselves, a new synth takes over accompanied by the drum loop, and more components are quickly added before the build up, which doesn’t take over this time. Instead it is simply adds to the already awesome track until, once again accompanied by the water drop, the drop takes over, making you dance once more. For the end the piano takes over again, this time accompanied by some lovely strings. This song is amazing, not only for the rare use of a water drop sound, but also for its fantastic combinations of synths followed by piano solos.
