Get ready for Gabber greatness from the master!
Tw3Lv3 – One Small Thing | Album | Multi-Genre
When this song hit the fandom back in late 2020, nobody had any idea just how dire we needed this. Yes, you have your fandom anthems about how great and fun the fandom is. But this track that Tw3Lv3, Drummershy, Koa, and MC-Arch did. It spoke a message we needed to hear. The “friendship” part of all of this. The core of it for being a true brony. With how bad 2020 was. The lyrics and energy that rained down from this fandom were a breath of fresh air. This song inspired others again. A song about having that one spark or moment of friendship, support, love, or kindness is all you may need to start turning things around. The message was inspiring and one of the biggest bangers of 2020. How inspiring? Enough of some of the fandom’s best talents today to recreate the power of this track in a list of different genres and styles of expression on how this song inspired them. Wrillez Basics – Freako Way [Hybrid Mix] (feat. Brilliant Venture) | Hyperpop
Now this one’s just unique. 6 years in the making, Freako Way goes hard and doesn’t let up. There’s lots of crazy synths and vocal chops along with hard drops and heavenly atmosphere. Those trance synths in the breakdown along with the pitched vocals just hit me right in the heart. It really is on another level!
SeriousDamir – Changeling Attack | Eurobeat
Eurobeat with heavy metal mixed into it. SeriousDamir has recently been popping up in the Brony music scene, making some noise and making a few compilation albums. There is a pretty good reason why.
When you listen to this, you may just be thrown off by the righteous heavy metal guitar because you’re expecting Eurobeat! Fear not because the metal elements side right in the drop that kicks off the high-energy Eurobeat. This song is entertaining with this tale of Queen Chrysalis and her horde on the assault and will make you bounce as you this. The lyrics are hyper and tell the ponies’ story trying to endure the attack; all why doubting that the changelings would not do this is if not for Queen Chrysalis. The lyrics kind of hint at the reformed changelings, the season 6 finale to further that point. The music itself is some serious fun with how upbeat and intense the Eurobeat elements are. The metal guitar riffs always have a part in supporting the strength of this song’s composition, adding some added bang to the track. I can only hope that SeriousDamir keeps getting better, and this song is a good sign. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Glimm – Illuminate My Night | Happy Hardcore
Different song, different princess, different genre! Glimm, a newcomer to the brony music scene. Slides right into the groove with the 2nd track of their Princess EP album. We had Cadenza with Hyper Pop for Princess Cadence. This track, however takes the interesting choice of Happy Hardcore to the theme of Princess Luna as odd as this sounds for her character. We are treated to this bouncy and hyperactive message of poor Luna being trapped on the moon. I have to admit it is quite catchy; Glimm trying to sing for the first time has this playful and hopeful tone to the lyrics as the harmonies have this space-like echo to them, full of spunk and high octane energy! It’s an entertaining track. Please encourage Glimm to keep working hard and encourage them with love. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Daniel Ingram – Awesome As I Wanna Be (Budzy Remix) | Happy Hardcore
Time for an Equestria Girls remix! This track starts out with a thick electronic drum segment, setting a fun and energetic tone for the song. The track quickly ramps up after the drum intro, with more bopping music and the mixing in of the original vocals from Dash herself! The whole song in general is just packed full of energy, and kind of reminds me of early fandom music, which is definitely a good thing!
