Part of a new “Symphonic Poem”, this musical introduction to “A Tale of Starlight” is telling the start of Starlight and Trixie’s journey, finding the lost Princess of Friendship! The epic story is so appreciated and all that mystery is so intriguing! The music does a splendid job at immersing ourselves into that setting, and making us experience the journey in a way along the ponies!
SmD House’s newest release has their signature style written all over it! The intriguing and dark vibes are fitting the depth of the artwork used in the video so well, and we could feel like we’re diving in that scene through the power of music! And the organ at the end is a very emotional touch that I appreciate a lot!
There is plenty of chill, orchestral melodies with this track! The music in this one is rather upbeat and definitely pleasant, with the aforementioned orchestral music as well as some piano in the background, and some guitar at the beginning. I’d say the song really fits the title!
A bit of an unusual piece from N4ghtwolf as they usually explore darker themes, but very welcome nevertheless. Slice of Life is a cheerful reminder to just enjoy life sometimes. The whimsical strings open the piece and carry it all the way through while a subtle intermittent four on the floor drum beat adds to the overall playfulness making for a very lighthearted experience.
Jyc Row has proven once again that not only is he capable of writing outstanding music, but to tell captivating stories with it too. Before the Infinite Eclispe is the next installement in the Infinite Eclispe series. Most of the information about the story and links to all chapters are found in this document, essential to a proper understanding of the alternate universe crafted by the composer. This piece is a call back to what happened before and builds up to the next turning point in the series. It does so by using the themes of Sun of the Night and Night Queen, the movements belonging to each of the sisters’ tragic peripeteia, and the theme of Together, Against the Sisters. Jyc Row gathered the help of Maria Grigoryeva on the viola and plenty of fandom talents, including Velvet R. Wings‘ beautiful operatic voice and Wubcake‘s voice acting skills to create this piece not parsimonious in terms of goosebumps and leaving but thirsty for more.
This song was crafted in two hours. Would you believe it? Regardless, this song stands up as a powerful orchestral piece in spite of how long it took, showcasing an unforgettable melody performed by strong orchestral strings, choirs and drums. The song even slows down towards the end with a key change which only further strengthens the powerful feeling it gives off. Click here to see Jyc Row make the song in action!
A most wonderful and delicate tribute to our beloved hard-worker pony, Harmonic Six’s new song themed around Applejack has vibes of satisfaction after a day’s hard work, looking at the sunset and the crops. The strings sound quite grand, and the winds are chanting some well-deserved praise for our farmer mare!
RedSpark has been SO active with many pony concept-powered pieces and tributes lately, and all are so very appreciated! He may even be considered the most active pony musician of late! While I posted every release on EQD, we’ve been a bit behind over here at HMH, but please enjoy this latest release from the musician that was inspired by the awesome artwork Night observations, and do make sure to check out the other releases from the musician that came out in the meantime! Namely: Twilight Fall, The Anti-Twilight Brigade, Dream of Flight (Flyin’ over Equestria), and RedSpark’s remix of the ending credits song from the MLP movie Off To See The World!
For those of you that remember the great DuoCartoonist musical collaborations, a big part of those songs came from Spiral Harmonies (for those of you that don’t remember those videos – look them up right away!). After some re-orchestration, they have re-released the remastered version of Midnight Frenzy, a lively and very playful track based around Luna as a child, getting into trouble and having fun through the night. The orchestration is incredible with all the instruments building upon each other while Emily Koch’s voice shines as the incredibly lovable Luna character.
