InfinityDash – Decade of Dreams | Chillout / Downtempo

As I’m sure everyone knows by now in this fandom, the 10th anniversary of MLP:FiM just recently occurred! What better way to celebrate it than with some awesome brony music? In this track, expect a positively chill experience, composed of electronic music, backed up with smooth drum beats. The song itself has a late-night mood to it, which, in my opinion, really adds to the festive anniversary feel. Overall, expect chill vibes from this awesome track!

RedSpark – Starlight’s Revenge | Electro

Today we’ve got ourselves a lovely Electro tune from Red Spark. This Starlight-themed track starts out with a lovely Electro beat that is going to be stuck inside your head for days. After that the beat changes and a catchy melody joins in and is supported by a buildup leading into a drop, and oh boy, the drop is going to put you on your hooves dancing! Starlight’s subtlety evil laugh heralds the shift in beat, this one even catchier than the one before. After you’ve danced your heart out, the track calms down for a bit while still maintaining its awesomeness with the beat returning to it’s beginning form. The beat again changes until it returns to another build up, and finally with another evil Starlight laugh the chorus comes back, and you once more feel yourself dancing until the song ends.

MirroredReality – Discordant | Psytrance

Today we’ve got ourselves an amazing Psytrance track by MirroredReality. This song is all about Discord, and boy does it encapsulate the feeling you have if you think about what the God of Chaos could do. The song starts out surprisingly upbeat and builds up that feeling, as if it wants to fool you into a false sense of happiness, then slowly adds creepier elements until it calms down again, this time fully embracing the Psytrance vibe while building up again, and then the drop happens. The chorus has a rather upbeat melody but fills it with chilling synths to really create an awesome contrast. After the beat calms down again, it once more embraces the chilling vibe until it changes the beat to a similar sounding oriental style that slowly builds up and gives us another chorus, but this time it sounds different; the more upbeat melody is gone and is replaced by more chilling trance tunes. After that, for the big finale, both choruses are combined to really drive home the chilling atmosphere.

Rubber – Equestria, 1:10AM (feat. ZD) (Prod. Prod Odist) | Hip-Hop

Rubber continues their run of strong hip-hop offerings with this fourth-wall-breaking collaboration with longtime fandom videographer and rapper ZD that was mixed and mastered by Nevermourn. Together they take a delightfully dark look at the unsettling and dangerous streets of Equestria in the early hours of the morning. Rubber’s and ZD’s creative lyrics flow nicely over the music box melody and beats. There’s even a great section where ZD delivers a spoken passage that has an awesome horror film vibe, which is a nice touch. The whole delivery works amazingly well with Rubber’s artwork, which manages at once to be comical and unsettling. A great offering for fans of hip-hop and anyone who likes their Equestrian music a little on the dark side!

[P@D] L-Train – Paint The Moon Red (feat. Koa, TheMusicReborn, Zephysonas & General Mumble) | Electro Swing

So, everypony, it’s finally here. This is the first pre-release from the 21st Ponies at Dawn compilation album “Eclipse“. This song is kind of the Luna version of “Daybreaker Boogie”, and this time L-Train got some more people to help make this song awesome…and they did! But enough fanboying from me–let’s get to the bottom of this wonderful Swing piece. The track starts out amazingly with a saxophone solo supported by an awesome beat; then the incredible voice of Koa enters and sings about how Luna is back, and she’s ready to swing after a thousand years on the moon. The beat slowly ramps up in the background until the saxophone takes over again for the chorus. After the amazing chorus Koa chimes in once more, singing about how we should all throw down to our hearts’ content until the palace can’t handle us anymore, and the saxophone takes over again, this time supported by vocal chops from Koa. As the saxophone keeps on grooving, Koa sings again about dancing completely fancy free. Honestly, this is an amazing track that I have no words for other than that my first reaction was to bob my head along at 4 in the morning.

ArdhyM – Charge | Progressive House

Today we’ve got some breathtaking House Music from ArdhyM. The song starts out with an already amazing beat, that slowly ramps up to give us an amazing drop supported by Applejack’s best “Ye haw”. The drop keeps rolling and keeps you dancing until it ramps up and get’s even more awesome! After some time the beat changes but still stay’s with the upbeat until it goes silent only to slowly grow louder and supported by several vocal samples it goes back up and louder until it hit’s the drop once more into the absolute awesomeness, the beat continues up some time more until it fades out and in what an amazing way! This might just be the best end to a song I’ve ever heard.

SpinScissor – My Tantibus | Electropop

Based on Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?, My Tantibus tells us all about Luna’s inner struggle with her thoughts as they overcome her mind. All the electronic effects from the distorted voice representing the Tantibus to the strong warbling bassline in the background that adds to the dark vibe the song gives off, there’s a lot to love here. SpinScissor has a great voice, and that synth solo that closes out the song is a great climax!

Vylet Pony – LESBIAN PONIES WITH WEAPONS|Hyperpop

WARNING: This song includes swearing!

So everypony, if you’re familiar with EDM you might have heard of the misconception that all EDM is lazy party music, well that applies half to this song, in that sense that this is a party song and a prime example of one. This article, and all article articles published in a two week range from this one, is delayed by about three days because I couldn’t stop throwing down with this song in my ears. So enough of the rambling let’s get to the bottom of this.
The song starts out with a rather slower beat that sounds more like a chillout song but quickly the real beat starts and you realize this isn’t to chill out, this song is to throw down and dance like there’s no tomorrow. And the song already starts out with some lovely vocal chops taken from the “Smile Song”, and the lyrics start. At this point I should mention since the lyrics cover all kinds of stuff further down, there will be a short segment talking about the lyrics, for now I’m going to focus on the beat. The beat mostly keeps to the background and as we reach the chorus, the beat ramps up to 2020% awesomeness. As we leave the chorus the beat calms down but just long enough to let you breathe and it goes right back to absolute amazingness. Around the second third of the song the beat calms down some more giving off a vibe of uncertainty, but it quickly goes back to the normal beat and shortly thereafter into the awesome chorus which the song ends on.
So that was it about the beat, now to the lyrics. Note: in order to summarize the lyrics as best as possible this segment will include swearing.
So to quote what Vylet said in the YouTube description, this song is about a lot of different things, for example: fuck the 2020 political climate, cringe culture, the far right part of the fandom, anti LGBTQ+ people and the one most of us can likely relate to: fuck perfectionism, having fun is way better. So to summarize the amazing lyrics they’re all about “fuck all the negative people and just be you and have fun”.

Vyprae – Hug a Pony (Remake) | Glitch-Hop

Today we’ve got ourselves another great song by Vyprae. This song is actually a remake of Hug a Pony made by Vyprae November last year. The song starts out with a rather classical sounding beat but quickly more stuff joins in to show you that this isn’t some kind of old song your music teacher makes you listen to, oh no this is the finest of OMFG. Quickly the vocal chops join in to make this song feel even more lively, the song slowly starts building up until it hits its peak in the chorus, that is being supported by awesome vocal chops: the liveliest part of the whole song and really just makes you wanna dance. After the chorus, the classical sounding beat takes over again and claims the spotlight. Quickly all the other stuff joins in again. The beat builds up again but this time right when the drop is supposed to hit you, Fluttershy gives us her best yay and sends us over to the chorus that, once again, simply just slaps. To finish the song the classical beat takes over again but this time it’s held more futuristic, really giving the track a proper send off.

Note: Since the original video got deleted, you may find the MP3 file of the song here.

MirroredReality – Mage of the Meadow | Alternate Electronic

One word comes to mind when I listen to “Mage of the Meadow”, and believe me, that’s been quite a few times since its release. That word being, ethereal. MirroredReality presents an almost otherworldly vibe in this song that’s difficult to describe, and that’s far from a bad thing. This one takes me back to playing JRPG’s as a kid, and getting to that obligatory “unfamiliar kingdom” section; its an obvious member of the repeat club-
