Track 2 from The Rest of Our Lives is River of Dismay, the first of four appearances from Tw3Lv3 on the album. A liquid drum & bass piece, this one utilises a piano alongside the familiar heavy bass and quick drums to forge a brilliant nostalgic atmosphere, with the primary instruments occasionally grinding to a halt to let the piano take over and carry some emotion. Samples from The Legend of Zelda games, particularly that of Navi are dotted across the track to spice things up a tiny bit, without being too distracting. The emotion dripping from this song is unreal!

Power Note – Ascend EP | Hybrid Orchestral
Power Note’s latest EP Ascend has just hit the internet, and we’re treated to 4 unique tracks. While he’s primarily known for his escapades in the electronic subgenres, Ascend showcases his prowess in creating orchestral soundscapes. The first track, Ascend is a beautiful opener with ethereal choir-esque synths and a clock holding the track together before the powerful sound of orchestral drums joins in. A minute in, the drums bring a sense of energy to the table along with all the familiar elements to make something truly optimistic. Timeloop continues this sense of energy with its soft string and piano intro, before building up to a strong climax with some electronic drums, the two genres blending perfectly together. Power is the most emotional track on the whole EP, with the main melody being driven by a beautiful, tear-jerking choir before all the strings burst in. This track feels like the high point of a strong scenario, like a group of heroes finally reaching their destination and achieving their goals. Finally, Bliss – the closing track – brings everything to a satisfying end. Overall, this EP is a beautiful collection of orchestral pieces and sounds with a unique electronic flair, and I highly recommend you listen!
RUL – Rise Up | Techno
It’s always so cool witnessing new pony musicians entering the scene, and RUL definitely shows a lot of potential with this debut release! The nostalgic Techno instrumental shows a lot of promise, and this came at just the right time for Musician Pony Day on EQD!
[ASOS] Single Purpose – Protector Of Dreams | Future Garage / Drum & Bass
I absolutely love ASOS: Brownie and all of its awesome tracks, including this one! This song’s music is really chill, with drum and bass elements, some electronic elements, and a lot of ambience, which all compliment each other incredibly! Basically, this track is catchy, rhythmic, chill, and absolutely amazing!
Rarity Advocate – New Work | Alternate Electronic
Spicy titles aside, this new release by the talented Rarity Advocate is actually very fuzzy as it brings so much love in musical form! The “spring” vibes of the song, with the “rebirth” aspect of it perhaps represented by Philomena here, are completed wonderfully by sampling of vocals from Winter Wrap Up, and listening to this feels like trotting in Equestria on a first day of spring!
Studio Quinn – Discord’s Remorse | Indie Pop
Studio Quinn made such a lovely tribute to Discord’s character depth, accompanied by a fitting artwork by JustKat! The vocals sung in Discord’s perspective will make you sympathize for his struggles, and the Discord quotes in the video will remind you just how deep of a character he was always meant to be in the show!
Sawtooth Waves – To The Skies (feat. Chi-Chi) | Electropop
Sawtooth Waves, formerly known as Notion, returns with their first original in nearly 2 years! To The Skies is a cute and bouncy pop track featuring the adorable vocals of Chi-Chi as the part of Scootaloo, singing about the all-too familiar concept of her being unable to fly with her tiny wings and coping with her emotions all the while. Along with this banger comes a brilliant PMV, made by a talented group! Perfection in one single package.
[P@D] Skron – Maze of Thoughts | Melodic Dubstep
Leave it to Skron, an up and coming producer to make a track with a dreamy and reflecting theme to it. A track that goes into the mind of our newly crowned bookhorse. The melodies effectively make you feel this as the song is right out of the show. It’s right in touch on how twilight would be talking, feeling about being the new ruler of equestria. There are some lovely transitions and drops that take the emotion from, uncertainty to courage, power and overcoming the odds. Skron vocals really drive you into her mind and her sense of wonder. If there was ever a way, really to use Twilight’s character growth over 9 seasons. Skron I’ll say, has done so in this package of bliss and celebration for track 42 on P@D: Ignite. [P@D] Faulty – Rise Up (feat. StealingShad3z & Doodled) | Big Room House
Attention Changeling fans. Looking for a track that has sweet vocals, battle anthem rhymes and the rumbling melody of a Changeling oncoming? This is track 44 of P@D: Ignite Rise up. Faulty comes in once again with pulsing flow. A sound and rhythm that spells a message of “we are coming, better and stronger”. By hearing this. you feel the changelings coming, marching, buzzing, attacking. It’s a surefire beat to move to for sure. StealingShad3z lends his voice while letting you hear that message. Shad3z’s sweet sounding voice speaks these lyrics as an anthem to their opponents, daring them to stop them. Then there is Doodled Pony. The man with such an eccentric style of blasting those out words. The voice of Chrissy is told in Doodles voice with the order to attack and the message that comes with it, even some voice modification there for Changling vibes! Its a another good one on P@D. RedSpark – Glimmer | House
Continuing on their streak of bangers, RedSpark’s latest composition is exactly that. Starting off with a lovely piano, a unique synth sound joins in before we’re treated to a build up with plenty of uplifting trance-like melodies and a bouncy drum beat. This beautiful song serves as a tribute to Starlight Glimmer as evidenced by the name, something the fandom needs just a little bit more of!
