Vylet Pony – Over Equestria | Ambient / Chillout

This right here. Over Equestria is one of those tracks that reminds me of how far we have come together, and how far we have yet to go. As the introduction to Tales From Equestria, Vylet sets the tone with some deep, retrospective sound design. It really paints the picture of standing atop a hill, looking out over the world, a light breeze in the air, and reflecting on where it all began to where we are now. You really have to hear it for yourself to understand. But it also begs the question, “Where will we go from here?”

Dynamite Grizzly – moondisco (Late Nite Mix) | Acid Techno / Disco

An 11 minutes mix of one of my favorite tracks from The Long Way Home EP, Grizzly did here an amazing work mixing moondisco, the progression is amazing with some really acid sounds that make you think that you are in a 90’s rave dancehall! C’mon and dance everypony! This is really a treat! Also these sampling work, I loved it! Good job Grizzly!

Jupiter Maroon – Daring | Electro

What an exciting new release from Jupiter Maroon! It takes the listener on a long and winding journey with the famous hero Daring Do, with unexpected twists and turns at every phrase. Follow her through a gentle walk in the forest, an intense battle with Caballeron, a tense mission to retrieve a precious artifact. The different soundscapes truly provide this to the listener, and even more. I can’t wait until the next adventure!

Koron Korak – Lyra’s Sorrow | Chillout

Koron is an artist I haven’t heard of before, but now I wish I had! They’re fantastic at chillout and orchestral. This song is about Lyra finding out that Bon Bon is really Special Agent Sweetie Drops, and the following sadness and betrayal.

JOSHH – Life In Memoriam | Instrumental Hip-Hop / Chill Trap

An experimental and chill beat done by JOSHH, the emotional sounds mixed with the classic 808’s of the trap with some really cool field recordings makes the beat a really sad and emotional one. A great work done here, also the beat is free to use but please give credit to this amazing artist. An emotional work that should be remembered! Good job JOSHH!

Ponytronic – Cherish | Indie Dance

Upper class and sophisticated, but delightfully kind and upbeat once you get to know her. Ponytronic’s Cherish invites the listener to take a moment to understand the real Fleur de Lis as they experience her transition from one of Canterlot’s elite into the bright and buoyant personality she is behind the facade. One can truly sense this transformation in character as the instrumentation moves from a simple but elegant set of ambiance and strings, into sugary layers of synths, drums and Xylophone.

Wind Wolf – Earthly Abode | Soundtrack

Now, this is something very cool and special. I really like it. 🙂 The soundtrack has a nice Acoustic sound to it with nice back-up piano’s and a little Ambience. The vibe is very peacefull and attention grabbing at the same time. Very well performed. I could easily put this track in a Legend of Zelda game and it’ll fit just perfectly. The fact that this is for a video game already though… well, I can’t wait. 🙂 Because if the OST for that is already that good… who knows what perfection will come afterwards. Marvelously done Wind Wolf. Keep up the good work! Everybody, you know what to do. ❤

Direct Current – You Drive Me Wild | Electropop

Direct Current’s You Drive Me Wild is a fun little retro sounding pop styled track about Octavia falling in love with Vinyl Scratch. I love the playful synths throughout the song and the lyrics are very fitting for the style of the track. The solo section that leads into the final set of lyrics has a wonderful build and sets up the ending of the song perfectly!

The L-Train – Theme from “Ponyville Noire” | Jazz

We don’t get enough of these! A smooth and cozy Jazz piece unfolds, courtesy of The L-Train who composed this theme for the fanfiction Ponyville Noire. After meeting with an old partner in a dim-lit backstreet on a moonless night, you go on to talk about the old times when you were working for the family… and you hear this song being played on the sax by a pony sitting on a window pane. This is the kind of scene and musical bliss that this theme is giving to us!
