Tw3Lv3 made a whole album dedicated to remixing TCB’s tracks and that was such a wonderful idea! A pre-release from the album, this tribute and remix of Nothing Is Forever is showcasing Tw3Lv3’s forte with a tasty and fresh Jungle DnB arrangement of the emotional Dashie song, bringing to life the emotion in a new unique way!
Remix
TCB – D I S C O R D | Future Bass
Is this a new original track from TCB? Is this a meme? Is this a remix of Odyssey Eurobeat’s iconic Discord? Is this a banger? Is this the return of The Living Tombstone? No, it’s… all of that at the same time! Okay, not the Living Tombstone part. But by now you must have understood that this is something that you shouldn’t sleep on. The dank play on vocal samples, the sick wubs and the refined composition à la TCB will do the explaining anyway!
Lectro Dub – Fallen (Brilliant Venture’s “World On Fire” 2020 Mix) | Dubstep
Brilliant Venture combined sick wubs, vocals from Lectro Dub’s Fallen, pony vocal samples, chiptune melodies, a meaningful backstory, positive messages (I highly recommend reading the description on YouTube), emotion, and much heart in this remix, and with no surprise it resulted in something astonishing and very emotional. Oh wait, that’s not all… Just when you thought that you couldn’t possibly make this more awesome, there’s actually a whole PMV to go along with the song, made with love too!! Indeed, Brilliant Venture is quite the MVP in the pony music scene, so go sub to him if you haven’t already! And even when it seems like the world is on fire, please keep hope!! And find solace in love all around you, or, you know… right here ♥ *hugs*
SCRATON & Vylet Pony – Wireless (PSFMer Remix) | Drum & Bass
You may be familiar SCRATON’s original “Wireless”, which was a mellow, if sombre, track that mixed some great instrumental elements with electronics and (in my opinion) sounded a bit glum before ultimately ending on a few hopeful notes. Vylet’s remix (also redone on her “Fairytales” album) added great vocals and atmospheric elements while upping the tempo, creating a compelling narrative delivered with scintillating urgency. PSFMer takes those outstanding Vylet vocals and combines them with a more subdued approach that is brighter than the original, incorporating a simple but effective bassline, snappy drums, fantastic atmospheric elements, and dreamy synths while making great use of the vocals. I love the layering of vocals throughout the song, and there are a lot of nice touches where they are tweaked to make them meld with the melody, often emerging and fading out, which adds some great depth to the track. The overall delivery is very chill, introspective, and engaging, and I hope that you will give it a listen and enjoy it as well! I would also like to thank PSFMer for the really great description of their process in the YouTube video comment and for linking to the previous versions of this track! Good on ya!
TCB – :TWI: (Tw3Lv3 Remix) | Future Bass
Today we’ve got ourselves a track by TCB remixed by Tw3Lv3. The track starts out with a lovely Christmas-y melody which is quickly joined by vocal chops, and the whole track ramps up a notch. The track is filled with crystal clean sounds and ascending/descending melodies. You get a drop, and then the melody calms down, only to throw another jump-worthy drop at you afterwards. It gives the whole track a definite structure while still shifting throughout, which is a difficult combination to pull off, but Tw3Lv3 absolutely nails it!

[P@D] Faulty & John Kenza – Best Of Friends (feat. PegasYs) (BlackIceMusic Remix) | Future Bounce
Okay, everypony, before I get into my whole article spiel I’ll have to explain something: This song is absolutely amazing, and I have way more stuff to say than normal, so after the main Article there will be a part of me rambling about arguably small details and things that I specifically loved. You can read the extra part or not; it won’t take anything away from the main article (I should also mention that while I try to keep my articles as objective as possible the extra part will be entirely subjective).
So, everypony, today we have another track from P@D’s recent charity album “Introspection”, and what a pleasure it is for me to talk about this one! BlackIceMusic brings us this amazing remix of “Best of Friends”, a Future Bounce track that is sure to make you not only nod along but will even get you jumping up and down to the beat (You could even say it will make you bounce!). The track starts out with a lovely bounce melody that will give you an initial feeling for how great this track is. The amazing vocals by PegasYs quickly join in, and they are (as far as I can tell) not altered at all. As the vocals start the beat takes a back seat only to quickly ramp up again while the song becomes increasingly melodic as we get close to the drop. For the last few pre-drop lines the beat becomes more and more like the original but still keeps its own identity. The drop is just an explosion of fun bounce melodies and is pretty faithful to the original. As the drop ends the song progresses as it did before with first having a quieter beat that quickly ramps up again, but in between it switches to a different beat, again staying close to the original but still having its own sound and appeal. The second drop is slightly different from the first and gives the whole song a lovely progression. For the finale we get the last lines from PegasYs, but instead of ending there this remix ends on some more of the amazing beat.
(personal rambling after the break)
Violin Melody – Hope (Canvas Remix) | Drum and Bass
(listen to Vio’s original here!)
Violin’s Melody’s message of hope and light urges us to never give up on life, much like she refused to when she was in a dark place in her life. Canvas has given this song a super boost of energy and positivity, but viewed will also be enthralled by the prancing Fluttershy in the video. The power of D&B with bounciness and enchanting beat to this track bring out this infectious feeling of joy and the wonder of the Everfree Forest. The vocal chops with the lovely piano only enhances the positive message and wholesome spirit of this track. Canvas has made something special here by making this Vio track his own. As always this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Daniel Ingram – Unleash The Magic (Nyancat380 Remix) | Trip-Hop
Ok, even for me, when you see Nyancat’s name on a track, the normal action is to strap in and hold on tight for his brand of over-the-top musical assault on your ears. HOWEVER he throws a very unexpected curveball here. A remix that is a mixing of his style with some pretty amazing hip-hop beats for one of the most underrated songs from the Equestria Girls. The song really plays up the vibe of Sci-Twi at a real crossroads in this song, and, honestly, it works. The lyrics are sped up and the vocals are distorted enough to really add to the drama of this song, and it’s a very welcomed delight thanks to the skills of Nyancat380!
As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Daniel Ingram – The Seeds of the Past (Riovelk Remix) | Eurobeat
So, everypony, we kick off the holiday season with a banger remix from Riovelk. Honestly I didn’t expect Eurobeat and Christmas to really fit together, but oh, sweet Celestia, was I wrong. They actually fit together pretty well! The song starts out with a build up and some lovely Eurobeat music before the Applejack lyrics we all know and love set in with a continuously upbeat background track that slowly builds up bit by bit until it takes over for a drop so hype I can’t begin to describe it! Soon Applejack starts singing again, and for some time the beat actually calms down for a more subdued part of the song before it comes back on full blast for another awesome instrumental that you could even say is 20% cooler than the last. For the end Starlight and Applejack sing to a calmer beat, which makes for a great outro.
As always big thanks to my friend thecanderson for proofreading!
Daniel Ingram – The Spectacle (feat. Lena Hall) (Ferality Bootleg Remix) | Electro House
Today we’ve got something very special, Everypony! Ferality Bootleg brings us this explosion of multiple genres thrown together, and it sounds amazing! The song mostly is a mix of Electro House, Complextro and Bass House with loads of other things sprinkled in making for a unique and awesome experience. The song starts out with a remixed and seemingly darker version of the original beat until the Countess herself blesses us with the amazing vocals for this song. Especially in the refrain you can hear the changes made to the beat which are done so well they sound like they were part of the original, which is something very difficult to pull off, but Ferality nails it. Then as we reach the apex of the build up the drop happens engulfing you completely in a seemingly new beat that fits perfectly into the track and will have you bobbing your head along. Coloratura then joins in again and makes this awesome drop even better! The song then settles into a calmer beat which it maintains until the end.
As always this article was proofread by thecanderson, so big thanks to him!
