Biscuit – This Is Where The Good Bit Starts | Metal Album

We’re dragged in hollow ambience, dispiritedness rings in the air as monstrous guitar riffs creeps upon us accompanied by slow drums quaking the realm. We just stumbled inside the wilderness of Biscuit’s first metal album and there is no exit till the end as we will be tangled by the pressure of radiating demonic screams, restless and torching deep guitar tones, breakdowns of dynamite blasts and double time meteorite drumming throughout this electrifying album.

This Is Where The Good Bit Starts.

Celica Soldream – Frailty (Covering Princewhateverer) | Metal

Celica Soldream may be a name you’ve seen pop up, and if you remember, she’s that beautiful vocalist featured in the works of Jyc Row and PrinceWhateverer. She must have enjoyed working with them, because now she has made her own rendition of one of the Prince’s classics! Along with her adorable OC, she shows her range as a vocalist with melodies pulled right from the original. She backs up her performance with passionate fire in her voice, willing Princess Twilight Sparkle on in her battle with Tirek (from the finale of season 4) with so much on the line! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

4EverfreeBrony – Copycat 2: Repeat After Me | Cover Album

4EverfreeBrony has been constantly releasing exceptional music since 2013, dozens of original distinguished singles, great covers, pony parodies and resplendent albums done by the multi-genre musician. Back in 2019 he released Copycat, a wholesome album doing covers of songs by brony musicians. Now in 2022 he has released Copycat 2 and featuring a range of musicians! This album is like a time capsule made with the respectful intent of bringing to light some of the lesser-known hidden gems in the fandom; some tracks on the album are more well-known, but many of them are tragically overlooked.

SlightlyAmiss – Horse Enough | Post-Hardcore

Alright ponies, time to not take ourselves too serious for a while, cause neither does this song! ‘Horse Enough’ is essentially a stab against people who get elitist about how Pony the music their favourite musician makes is, it’s a song dedicated to all those ‘mlp…please’ people who think they can make demands about the content of songs of their favourite artists. Of course as you’d expect from a SlightlyAmiss song this also includes some nods to fandom memes in both lyrics and artwork, a good example being a line that references the old ‘jar’ and the nod to Vylet Pony’s ‘Antonymph’ in a poster in the artwork. This song kinda portrays a toxic side of people’s dedication to the fandom, where people get entitled to their favourite fandom musicians only producing pony music and if they don’t, they get people saying it’s ‘not Horse Enough’. So apart from this song being an absolute pleasure to listen to, it also provides some nice food for thought.

MelodyBrony – ROYALTY | Metalcore

Always a treat getting a new metallic track from MelodyBrony, they’ve definitely been on a roll lately! The mid 2000’s vibes are strong here, with a very melodic vocal lead complimenting the steady beat and hauntingly beautiful string section. There’s something to be said for a song that says its piece and doesn’t overstay its welcome, and ROYALTY doesn’t go on any longer than it needs to; but if you’re anything like me, it’ll just be on repeat for a good while.

Jyc Row & Gabriel Borza – Aqasha, Goddess of Destruction (feat. Marko Duplisak) | Metal

Today we bring to you this lovely metal cover of Aqasha, Goddess of Destrucion. Jyc Row got together quite a few people for this: The original lyrics were written by Shelley Harland, and covered by the amazing Marko Duplisak. Together with guitars and drums by Gabriel Borza, and of course all the work by Jyc himself this cover is a lovely variation to the usual orchestral focus in the Infinite Eclipse series and definitely worth a listen!
