Soul Strings ft. Chi-Chi – You’re In My Head Like a Catchy Song (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Soft Rock

Here’s another cover of Daniel Ingram’s “You’re in my Head like a Catchy Song!”  This one throws a bit of a curveball with the interestingly sweet chord progression!  The vocals are very well done; they’re clean, have good intonation, and they sound relaxed.  The bass guitar complements the accompaniment of the acoustic guitar, to point out as well.  Lastly, the post processing of this cover is quite satisfactory for the average listener to hear; it really enhances the instrumentation, especially with the reverb effect on the vocals!

[P@D] 4everfreebrony – Silhouette (feat. Black Gryph0n) | Pop Rock

Did someone say big collab time? Even though my tastes primarily lie in electronic and alt rock, this kind of guitar-based pop stuff is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I’m particularly loving the little legato synths that fill in some of the background of the song. And it represents a great blend of both 4everfree and Black Gryph0n’s ‘signature’ styles of music too!

This is another pre-release from the upcoming Ponies At Dawn album, Anthology – we’ll bring more details soon but for keep your diary free next Friday (29th) for the release party!

Sable Symphony – Soar | Post-Hardcore

As a nostalgic nod to early community songs made toward the moving setting of Scootaloo’s character, Sable Symphony composed a much enjoyable tribute to the not-so-young anymore filly in his own style. Going for a heavy and fitting Post-Hardcore direction, the musician also graces the song with both soft and harsh vocals, bringing out the concept and the lyrics with much energy and beauty.

PrinceWhateverer – Yūgure no Kagayaki (feat. Sable Symphony) | Rock / Metal

Inspired by shonen anime OP/opening songs, the unstoppable PrinceWhateverer teamed up with Sable Symphony once more for a rocking collab. Imbued with a concept written in the description, the song definitely gives much energetic anime vibes, the kind of spirit that makes you confident that you’ll be able to save the world with your friends, through Prince’s vocals and instrumental as well as Sable’s backing vocals that all do wonders.

UCDP Brony’s latest track happens to be about Luna and some Cake! A fantastic song all around featuring quality drum work and radical guitar riffs. The song also includes a great guitar solo from Arthur Raulin. With inspirations from the likes of Dream Theater and 4/3 de Trio, UCDP Brony has created a wonderful track with a cute story! UCDP Brony produced this song for the French Pony Music Awards 2017.

Elias Frost – Somnambula | Orchestral / Folk

Elias Frost releases another beautiful track coming from a challenge that Jyc Row and Elias Frost participate, in which the artists inspired from the most recent episode of Season 7 (about the Egyptian Ponies history) should made a track in 3 hours! Inspired by the Ancient Egyptian Music drums and melodies, Elias did an awesome 2 minutes track that really express the histories of the Equestrian Egypt Mythology legends! The drums that really remind me of some Rock Drumming and the orchestral elements are really well performed, principally the brass section! It’s epic, mythological and emotional! I love the emotions that Elias puts on his compositions and songs! One of the most incredible tracks inspired by the most recent episode of Season 7 – Daring Done!

[OUT OF LIMIT 1.5] Crashie Tunez – Pegasi | Nintendocore / Cybergrind

Crashie Tunez explodes onto the scene with their track from the compilation album OUT OF LIMIT 1.5: Pony Love To Pedrógão Grande hosted by The Experimental Bronies and noise.horse. This tune assaults the senses with raw and powerful instrumentation, distorted and brutal vocals and the strangled cries of an NES. Chiptune and grindcore meet in a fiery fusion that psychotically and mercilessly powers forward like a bullet train, switching between verses and 8-bit synths while a pumping percussion loop rolls on. The track schitzophrenically jumps between melodies and finally crashes to an end with a shocking sound that jolts like an electric current, and the only thing to do after that is to hit repeat. Definitely a unique take on hardcore metal genres, and certainly a rare treat for those bronies who love their music HARD.

Lectro Dub – Salvaging | Classic Rock / Industrial Rock

Lectro Dub returns with an amazing experimental rock track with classic elements mixed with modern elements! The classic rock elements on the guitar riffs and in some synths looking like one of that really awesome and psychedelic Pink Floyd experimental albums! The modern rock elements on the mechanical drumming and some really Nine Inch Nails look like synths, reminding me of Classic Industrial Rock mixed with Funk Rock elements (the guitar riffs mixed with the bass line) and Psychedelia! Really headbanging and nostalgic experiment! Lectro Dub did really an awesome job on this!

Rockin’Brony – For the New Lunar Republic (Covering NotACleverPony) | Symphonic Metal

Rockin’Brony’s cover of this fandom classic is truly spectacular. The original was already a powerful, moving composition, but this cover applied a certain extra energy to it. Rockin’Brony, as his name implies, excels at this sort of music.

StealingShad3z – New Beginnings (The Tower Pt. 2) | Indie Rock

The continuation of When The Tower Is Quiet, Shad3z delivers and atmospheric and emotional Post-Punk track about Lil Pip and the theme of Fallout: Equestria! I really love this theme!

The drums are so clean, that reminds me of some Midwest Emo acts (Emo bands that use Indie Rock/Post-Punk elements) such as Jimmy Eats World, The Get Up Kids, Cap N’ Jazz and Brand New! The guitar riffs/solo along with the bassline are really awesome and that’s what gives to the song the atmospheric feeling!

The lyrics are well written, some really meaningful themes to what I’ve expecting from the instrumental feeling, sung by the powerful vocals of Shad3z, the song has a great vocal harmony, reminding me of some Post-Punk Revival acts such as Bloc Party, Interpol or even The National! It’s Punk with an emotional feeling on the lyrics and the instrumental, and it’s Indie with the “Midwest Emo” feeling and the Shoegazing riffing in some guitar riffs!

Cleary this is one of my favorite songs written and performed by Shad3z! Keep up the good work my friend!
