Insight interpolates Open Up Your Eyes from the MLP movie and turns it into an epic and unique metalcore piece! The familiar vocal hook is played by a flute and the music is filled with heavy guitar riffs and even some keyboard sounds! Some of the finest metal production in the fandom to date.

Chitin Nightmares is a unique blend of chilled out synthwave and orchestral music, full of spacey and distorted electronic goodness laden with all kinds of crazy effects alongside samples of Chrysalis’ voice. Creepy yet beautiful!

Rarity’s regality has been matched with this little tune from TheMusicReborn. The lyrics describe her to a T, featuring a plethora of words that rhyme with Rarity even. The pace of the music is a satisfying orchestral waltz which makes it great to dance to. I bet Rarity herself would love to dance to this graceful track with those catchy harp riffs and percussive rhythms keeping everything in time!
SoGreatandPowerful – On My Own (loophoof & Tw3Lv3 Remix) | Electro House
Firstly, if you haven’t downloaded The Rest of Our Lives then you are missing out! This charity album is filled with treasures of many kinds!
loophoof and Tw3Lv3 are a power combo as they build on a key section of SoGreatandPowerful’s original hit, particularly with the standout Applejack vocal chops. Tw3Lv3 brings a great, unique perspective to the track, adding electric guitars to an EDM track for loophoof to build around. His pure EDM sections are tight and add an incredible dynamic to the SGAP-centric sections as well as the trio-parts where Tw3Lv3’s guitars drive the energy. The entire combination is innovative and greater than the sum of the already top-tier parts!

[P@D] MEQA – Null | Neurohop
With an ambient and grand curtain-raiser as the intro, this neurohop track titled Null is a tasteful manifestation of rhythm and neuro-styled sound design. Slow and heavy is the name of the game in the presence of MEQA’s progressions, and before the last beat-heavy section of this piece is an ambiance that is as sonically intimidating as it is suspenseful. This opus also befittingly has a spot on the great Ponies at Dawn album, Ignite! Enjoy!
[ETC] Enuna – PARANOIA | Speedcore
From the first volume of COREQUESTRIA comes PARANOIA, the second of three tracks from Enuna. This track starts off with an ominous and distorted intro absolutely laden with effects and samples before turning things up to 11. The noise features crushing bass drums and blazing fast drum loops while the bass carries the song alongside some bell samples. Even with the heavy nature of the song, we’re treated to something special in the form of a distorted piano loop that plays by itself before being joined by all the other instruments and samples. Can you say chaotic? I know I can.
MelodyBrony & Luck Rock – Fluttershy (feat. Koa) (Covering Forest Rain) | Hard Rock
Forest Rain’s 2014 banger Fluttershy returns with a cover by MelodyBrony and Luck Rock with Koa joining the two on lead vocals! Bringing a hard edge to the original, this cover stays faithful, and everyone brings their A game to the table. Koa’s vocals are full of conviction and the production fits her voice well. The acoustic guitar in front of the distortion keeps everything grounded, yet still flying high. Well done, everypony!

[ETC] Nyancat380 – Wake Me Up Princess Luna!! | Splittercore
(Nyancats380’s Facebook ) From the newly released COREQUESTRA Volume 1 comes something so fast, terrifying and different! The theme of this track is made very clear with the machine gun pounding bass that Princess Luna has to protect Sweetie Belle from a beast trapped in her nightmares! The sound of Sweetie Belle screaming is a nice touch. The use of heaving and growling of a monster not letting up is all up in your face. One could say the pounding and eerie sounds could be the princess fighting for her life. It is not a track for everyone, I will say that. But the intense feeling of a horrifying nightmare is stimulated with the composition. You’re a cruel one, Nyancat. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
[The Rest of Our Lives] Le Soldat Pony – Reunion [Artemis Epilogue] :: Coming Out | Progressive Pop
The 12th track on The Rest of Our Lives is Reunion, the first brand new track from Le Soldat Pony in 5 years. Reunion is a unique piece and also stands as the album’s longest track, clocking in at 12 minutes long. It opens up with a minute long intro with glitchy beepy synths before adding a reverberant beat with 80s-inspired synth lines. Soldat’s voice is ethereal and haunting yet perfectly fitting for this kind of music. Halfway in, the song completely changes course, leaving us with some faint ambient background noise before a raw recording of an acoustic guitar fades in. This, combined with him singing sounds truly beautiful and haunting. As much as I’d love to see him return fully, it’s unlikely that he ever will, so let us cherish this moment while we still have it. Either way, it’s definitely a big highlight from the album!
