Today we’ve got ourselves another great song by Sawtooth Waves which is once again paired with an amazing PMV by daspacepony. For this track they got the help of Vylet Pony, who provides the awesome lyrics. The track starts out with a lovely melody and then adds a drum loop with a background buildup that comprises the entire track buildup even though it’s just one sound and the rest stays the same. And for the drop we get treated to a little reference; the start is essentially an extended version of Sawtooth’s intro with some pitched background vocals by Vylet Pony. After that we return back to the normal melody and more lyrics by Vylet Pony, but this time it’s not pitched vocals anymore, and Vylet gives us more or less a partial cover of the show’s “You’ll Play Your Part” while the PMV changes the meaning from Twilight’s Part to Flurry’s Part. While all this happens we once more get the build up to another drop along with a more extended intro and the pitched background vocals, and we end on the last part of the original “You’ll play your part” show song. As I mentioned before this song has an entire PMV attached to it; daspacepony once again went all out on the visuals incorporating different things along with his animation including visualizers and lyrics being displayed throughout. This article was proofread by my good friend thecanderson, so big thanks to him.
SoGreatandPowerful is an icon in this fandom. There’s no question about it. As such it can be pretty challenging to cover one of their songs and still elicit similar emotions. replacer has delivered once again with their cover of SGaP’s ‘Sorceress Girl’. Breathy calm vocals over that wonderfully soothing atmosphere. This is the pop I live for and the lines “a kind voice, a gentle face a friend who vanished without a trace” are delivered so, so well and just sells the vibe. Take a listen, trust me, this is a treat!
Drawing in an abundant and infinite source of inspiration, Direct Current is paying tribute to SGaP’s music all while expressing his lovely musical take at the concept stated in the description. The mellow instrumental, bright vocals and emotional pony vocal chops are all completing a frame filled with love! Also check out my comment on the song to find more love ♥
Covering a cherished song by SoGreatandPowerful, Somasis showed us the extent of their talent with this tribute made with love! 6 minutes of bliss, the cover is quite lovely as the mystical instrumental takes us to new beautiful roads, and the new vocals resonate in our hearts!
If you haven’t been listening to Dandelion, you really should! Their ability to create unique and innovative soundtracks is apparent with each and every new release. With Borrowed Wings is an extremely peaceful and gorgeous song. The theme explores a pony afterlife which is made apparent by the heavenly design and instrumentation. Helen the vocalist has an angelic voice which sings softly over a subtle, bright synth. Some dream-like bells are mixed in with light percussion to really give life to the tack. Brilliantly designed and original, make sure to check out this song and more from Dandelion’s channel!
Today we’ve got ourselves another amazing track from replacer! He brings us this fantastic (insert genre) track as part of P@D’s “Eclipse” Album. The song immediately grabs your ear with a catchy melody, and replacer doesn’t wait long before he throws some stunning lyrics at us. However, just because we have vocals now doesn’t mean the music gets any less amazing; it just takes a back seat and works in tandem with replacer’s voice for most of the track. The combination has an oddly calming effect, which is always a bonus for me. This is one of those songs I can highly recommend playing as soothing background music while doing any type of work so you don’t go all cray cray, and it’s also great for just chilling out after a long day at work or school. In the end we get the sound of wind whisking us on to the next track of our playlist. Twitter: @replacer808
In a very nostalgic way, char managed to bring forth emotions of the past with this blissful treat from the latest completed DustCar race, filled with Trixie’s greatness and powerfulness! The wonderful use of vocal samples and chops is doing a splendid job at taking us back through time, at the same time as the creative instrumental blows us away with its progression and SGaP-ness. And it has visuals made with love to go alongside it too! Trixiiiiiie!! Pony fan works will never stop!
A collab of no less than 34 musicians, this band’s new song was organized by Sound Bandit for the latest DustCar race calling for collabs, and boy did it deliver! The emotional vibes from both the instrumental and the vocals are palpable, and everypony felt that during the stream party of the race. Find the credits and links to all of the contributing musicians as well as the lyrics here!
Dandelion is sharing some more Psychedelic Rock pieces lately and it’s such a delight for the fan of 70s rock that I am! This one is lovingly using Fluttershy vocal samples to make a “Fluttershy Boo-Hoo edition” (I sure got that reference!) and the result is so nostalgic and refreshing at the same time!
Ampderg’s concept album Icicle has just dropped, and this collab with Namii from it is showcasing the kind of creative and intricate soundscapes and sound design that you can expect, with Ampderg’s musical talent shining so bright!
