Daniel Ingram ft. Rachel Bloom – A Kirin Tale (Ardhy Remix) | Future Bass

I’m a sucker for ‘A Kirin Tale’. Its such a fun and catchy song and Ardhy took this and spun it in quite an interesting way. Powerful chords and a wide open drop. It kind of gives a more ethereal feeling to the whole thing. calming, yet energetic. Definitely a treat worth a listen in my book!

InfinityDash -Pony Life Zone (16-Bit Sega Genesis-Style Theme Song Remix) | Chiptune

After almost 5 years of no updates, InfinityDash returns with a 16-bit style remix of the recently unveiled Pony Life theme! It uses the soundfont from the Sega Genesis which makes it feel like a track lifted from a Sonic or other platformer game from the 90s, and captures that mood with flying colours. Will we see more from Infinity? I sure hope so.

Daniel Ingram – The Magic Inside (PonyBoy441 Remix) | Melodic Dubstep

This show-song needs no introduction, with it being (in my opinion, of course!) one of the best and most memorable from Season 5. This fun remix gives new energy to the track with some epic wubs in the new dubstep music, but keeps with the emotional backdrop of the track by having the original piano parts, which mixes very well with the new music, making for a fantastic remix!

SoGreatandPowerful – On My Own (loophoof & Tw3Lv3 Remix) | Electro House

Firstly, if you haven’t downloaded The Rest of Our Lives then you are missing out! This charity album is filled with treasures of many kinds!

loophoof and Tw3Lv3 are a power combo as they build on a key section of SoGreatandPowerful’s original hit, particularly with the standout Applejack vocal chops. Tw3Lv3 brings a great, unique perspective to the track, adding electric guitars to an EDM track for loophoof to build around. His pure EDM sections are tight and add an incredible dynamic to the SGAP-centric sections as well as the trio-parts where Tw3Lv3’s guitars drive the energy. The entire combination is innovative and greater than the sum of the already top-tier parts!

Bonus credit to Osoch for his work mastering the track!

William Anderson – A New Hope (Toby Macarony Orchestral Remake) | Orchestral / Soundtrack

The legacy of all the wonderful BGM tracks from the show will shine forever! And inspire pony musicians to pay tribute to them as well, and that is what our friendly neighborhood Toby Macarony is doing here with this “Orchestral Remake” of the BGM from the S2 finale, that is so nostalgic and emotional with how it brings forward those melodies that you will recognize!

KeepOnRock’n Brony – Friendship is Magic (Royalpony Bootleg/Edit) | Hardstyle

(Listen to the the original Here )

Oh boy, If you honestly want a lot of deep rhythmic bass, a good amount of high engery nostalgia flavor with a dash of revisiond hardstyle melodies, then you are in the right place. This is RoyalPony’s remix of KeepOnRock’n Brony’s classic “Friendship is Magic”.  Royal has given an old Dubstep a new coat of paint, remixing with some extremely hard bass drops that hit you right in the face. The harmonics are just mind blowing with the flow of the track. Gotta love it when those iconic vocals from Twilight start talking to nightmare moon about finding that spark. The start of everything for every brony in this fandom is made to feel joyful. Royal puts some epic melodies into those moments to make it oh so special. This is a banger made into an epic crowd pleaser. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself

Suzuko Mimori – Mirai Start (Snow Swirl Remix) | Drum & Bass

Giving some love to the first Japan-exclusive OP song for FiM, Snow Swirl definitely did wonderful with this new foray in DnB that goes the anime/visual novel route with those happy and bright melodies! The fact that FiM could be watched like an anime with the official Japanese dub feels so special, and I so appreciate this remix that brings that spirit forward anew!

Various Artists – The Rest of Our Lives | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

Another compilation makes its way into the fandom in the form of The Rest of Our Lives, a tribute to the show and fandom. The album contains 13 diverse tracks from various musicians across various genres such as Tw3Lv3, Replacer, Ditherer and Evdog just to name a few. The opening track, Remembering (Origin & Depth) by Space Horse Manifesto is an atmospheric rock song that stretches across 7 minutes and goes from being a spacey, ambient rock piece to having full-on funky electronic pop influences halfway through. The very next track is River of Dismay, Tw3Lv3’s first of four appearances on the album and an emotional drum n’ bass track that utilizes a piano to create beautiful soundscapes, making it one of the album’s highlights. Stand-out tracks are the previously mentioned Remembering and River of Dismay, loophoof and Tw3Lv3’s remix of the SoGreatandPowerful classic On My Own, Evdog‘s Through the Veil, an uplifting rock track with soaring vocals and lyrics with references to the show and its characters, and Freewave‘s Twilight Sleeps Loudly, an ambient piece that feels like the soundtrack to Twilight taking a much deserved rest after earning her title as the ruler of Equestria. Overall, this compilation serves as a lovely sendoff to the show and while it’s not as diverse or prolific as fellow compilations Ponies At Dawn or VibePoniez, there’s enough unique songs that anyone can find enjoyment in. All donations made towards the album will be put towards the Brony Thank You Fund, a charity which is currently providing supplies to mask makers during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Flutter Bully – Party Problems (Dandelion Remix) | Electro House

(Listen to the Original Here from Flutter Bully )

People still make music about Pony.mov? Yes yes they do! Sprinkle in some vocal chops, this remix is given a fresh makeover with some jumping Electro House flavor. Imagine Equestria being ruled by a party crazy Alicorn Berry Punch and you will get the theme of this remix by Dandelion. All the Pony.mov pinkie themes are still in the lyrics. What’s better is that there is a much smoother sounding track. Including some old school DJ scrubbing mixed in and the party energy beat amped up. Dandelion seems to know how to control the tempo of that energy to make this track shift from high to hyper beats. It’s a funny and suggestive track that I’m sure you will be dancing around with your plushy. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Replacer – Passing By [VIP] | Chillout

Replacer’s latest outing sees a return to Passing By in the form of a VIP, originally the 68th track from Ponies at Dawn: Echoes. While the core song has remained the same, this VIP version strips down some of the musical elements and has a more refined feeling, especially in some of the piano chords throughout that are played differently and sounding more ominous when combined with the bass. It even has a slightly longer runtime, clocking in at exactly 4 minutes long. While it’s a step in the right direction, that amazing psychedelic feeling hasn’t gone anywhere!
