Today we’ve got ourselves yet another lovely track from the recently released fourth Equinity album “Immersion“! This one is an amazing Dark Techno song by 7th Stive. This track starts out darkly and with a slow build up until we get some static and a change of the beat, more static, and yet another beat change, this time with part of the first beat also implemented. After yet another beat change we return once more to the first beat and then get more static to transition into a different beat again. We end on a fast and fun beat that is combined again with the very first one.

Dandelion & Alex – PonyTron-Ic 2000 | Synthwave
Here we go, everypony! After Dandelion had Alex perform “Art Of The Dress” and make a stunning cover out of it, the duo have now picked up the EDM music again and made this fantastic original piece.
The song starts out with a slow build up that includes a lovely piano, and then we get the first of many vocal chops taken from both pony games and the show. Then we get the first drop and, oh god, it’s amazing! The drop is an astounding explosion of Synth melodies, and it’s just lovely! The song then doesn’t calm down for a while; when it does we once more get a focus on the main leads that Alex made. Later, intro-ed by a rarity vocal chop straight from the show, we get another build up, and then we get the amazing drop again, this time also featuring claps which give it just this last bit of fullness and make it so much more awesome. To end the song we get some more vocal chops, and the track slowly goes silent.

[Equinity] Proto_ssin & GrazySmash – Depth (Part One) | Trance
Today we’ve got ourselves a lovely collab from GrazySmash and Proto_ssin straight from the newest Equinity Album “Immersion“!
This song starts out with amazing choirs that give this deeply immersed and epic feeling that later transitions into a lovely melody after which the song fully starts with the main beat. After a while the main synth joins in, and the song experiences a slight change as the intensity ramps up. The drop is prefaced by a little text in the video, and then it’s just a fun trance explosion of upbeat synths that still seem sad. After the drop the song calms down a lot just to pick up again later, and it maintains this energy until the end.

Elias Frost – Equallektiv | Hybrid Orchestral
I’ve always found Starlight to be one of the most interesting characters in the latter half of the show. This track, I think, reflects that interesting character of hers really well. Much like Starlight’s character arc, this song has (for lack of a better term) phases. At the start of the track, the listener is greeted with a dark opening. The music starts out quiet, and as the first half of the track progresses, the music picks up in speed and volume. After this dark tone-setter, the track shifts into its next phase: with a quick vocal segment reciting Starlight’s cutie mark propaganda, the track takes on a quicker, orchestral sound. Complete with guitar, and more glim vocal segments, you’ve got yourself a great piece of music!
MidnightFritz – Mystery of Magic | Chillwave
Soft and gentle music inspired by the show is always so pleasing to listen to. To this day, the series premiere has musicians making music about the very moment “Friendship is Magic” was born. Take this lovely piece of music by MidnightFritz. The melodies with some acoustic guitar charm. This magical wonderous theme with the xylophone tones and a subtle aura of magic within the background. To put it simply, it’s like the very moment of the elements came to be and new hope for Equestria. Never lost that magic, my friends. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
SpinScissor – IN MOTION | Future Bass/Midtempo
New information and character designs from MLP G5 have recently been released, and the fandom has been quick to respond, especially with music inspired by the upcoming generation. SpinScissor, a newer artist on the scene, has jumped on the G5 train as well, presenting an upbeat track that features a diverse instrumental with interesting melodies and rhythms. A fun drop section with a futuristic vibe, quirky sound design, and pony vocal chops carrying several different melodies all fit together wonderfully in this playful piece. In the final drop, SpinScissor really lives up to his name with what feels like a quirky conglomeration of funky sounds and melodies that had me imagining random objects spinning around but somehow bringing hope in the midst of glorious chaos. It’s as if we are hearing random thunder and watching strips of almost indiscernible light in the night sky until, suddenly, the thunder and light explode into a glorious display of fireworks and the mystery is revealed.

Upbeat EDM might not be the type of music you may expect from a piece titled “Luna’s Sky.” With such a peaceful sounding name, I imagined some gentle orchestral sounds. However, experimental producer PeKaNo has taken a surprising approach to this track, melding ambient sounds one might expect from a peaceful tribute to the night sky with an epic trance beat that seems to showcase the explosive supernovas and epic events that also characterize the heavens. Gentle piano notes like the twinkling of countless stars flavor the background of the piece and suggest the gentle piercing of the nighttime sky by Luna’s protective voice as she declares her love for the night and promises to guard those under her care. This inspired strong emotions in me as I listened, as did the epic crescendo at the end of the piece. The contrast of gentle ambience with upbeat drums powerfully depicts the true majesty of the night sky. While the peaceful beauty of Luna’s sky radiates down to the world below, there is also an unseen war in the heavens, as stars and planets supernova and galaxies are born. I, for one, love to imagine Luna herself in full battle gear, dodging explosions and battling nightmares in defense of the world below. Allow this entrancing piece to transport you to worlds unseen as you hear the struggles of war in the heavens as they mingle with the majestic tranquility of Luna’s sky!
Technickel Ted – Technically (Seventh Element Remix) | Acid House
Seventh Element returns with their latest release since last year, a remix of Technickel Ted’s Technically! 90s vibes all around with this one, even bringing in some iconic TR909 drum sounds! The synths are moody and atmospheric, and the Maud/Mudbriar vocal samples only serve to make this song even more trippy. Makes you really wanna play some PS1 games, doesn’t it?
[Equinity] The Empty Tomb – INSECT | Complextro
Welcome to Round 2 of Queen Chrysalis on Equinity 04: Immersion, only this time, she is much colder and calculating (does the thumbnail art say no more?) but still just as arrogant! Insecta Regno was only half of this tale, a tale about how much we like the crazy bug queen. This song by The Empty Tomb, Oh…boy, those vocal chops bring a chill to your spine with this dead serious build-up behind those vocal chops. This trance-like melody with such a malicious undertone really sells it as you hear Chrissy speak and unleash that laugh. The song then only has one last thing to do–unleash the Minions! The drops and beats perfectly sound off on the changeling drones doing Chrissy’s bidding. You wonder how she lost in the season 6 finale in the first place! Man, the air raid siren in the background, along with the sounds of her insidious plan coming to fruition. What a great track about just how vile Queen Chrysalis really is. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
