Early pony songs nostalgia galore in this new release by AC-527/DnBeanie, just as much as Rainbow Dash cuteness! Classic S1 vocal samples from the pegasus as well as mellow melodies are making this tune such an appreciated treat and trip to the old days. That such pony music still gets made to this day is so very appreciated!
FritzyBeat & Steven, A.D. – The Day the Sun Dies | Electropop
We are going to be a little less serious here with the next track. There is something really wholesome to this track. Fritzy promised Steven he would finish this track, and 4 years later, that promise was fulfilled ( The whole story is in description of the video)! The song is really catchy with surprisingly swell melodies and gives it to Fritzy to throw down some bars with some rhymes! The song itself is about Celestia retiring and funnily enough, how Steven predicted the outcome of FiM. The song is quite humorous. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself. I’d like to add that old style fandom music doesn’t always mean outdated though.

Everyone knows PegasYs is such a good producer and vocalist. So how about a taste of some vocals that have just a tad of reggae vibe to them? It’s a style that is well-suited to the lyrics. PegasYs shows off his vocal range with this one, and the lovely Koa then comes in with her own sweet vocals to add some love to this “ship” of Twilight and Sunburst. As track 8 onP@D: Ignite, the song features a wonderland-style pop melody that is so catchy, and the vocals lend a worldly feel to the musical Moombah style (as it’s stated). Dear me, it’s getting hot in here…
Track 33 from Ponies at Dawn: Ignite is Fluffy Marshmallows, a collab between BlackIceMusic, Chasing Dawn and Lennon Black! This bouncy song features great callbacks to Mantlegen’s Dirty Gem, even going as far as to use some of the same samples! Dawn delivers a smooth set of bars about Rarity’s… softness… all while the beat bounces with its catchy synth riffs and rumbly basslines. Think Rarity would dance to this one?
Seventh Element – Equestria VHS | Album | Synthwave
The Sovreign of Synthwave returns with a 15-track album full of 80s sound-inspired pony goodness! Seventh Element has always specialized in out-of-the-box sound design and style as evidenced by Equestria VHS. The songs on this album are based on the ponification of different 80s movies and references to phenomena of the time (usually centered around VHS tapes). Several sound bits are laced throughout to really help set the tone, like the clips of video tapes being inserted into VCRs, and rewind machines getting used.

Power Note has joined the fun with their remix of Work In Progress! The fun and catchy melody gets a new twist with break beats and a nice array of 80s style sound design. It brings a different emotion to the raw energy of the original and is a nice addition to the the plethora of remixes you can find over at the official remix compilation album!
Agents of Discord & Reverbrony – Chimera (RIEL Remix) | Complextro
Now this is an interesting one. RIEL has taken Agent of Discord’s and Reverbrony’s song ‘Chimera’ and flipped it on its head! A more in your face, foreboding spectacle of gritty synthesis melds nicely with the original melodies. A lot of switch ups in the rhythm plus a pulsing bassline and ominous atmosphere really sells this as a unique take on the original and I couldn’t be happier for it!
LaunchSix – On Top | Electro House
A song about friends, parties, night clubs, bat ponies, and drinks? This hoof-stomping track is full of heavy duty, party-inducing bass and grind-like melodies, with some pretty slick usage of a keyboard for the more uplifting flavor. Plus some hard faceplaning drum beats to get those hooves moving. The setting and lyrics in this track tell the story of what Launch and his friends like to do during a night on the town. It gets quite insane! His friends are Cynifree, Chasing Dawn and Sailor. The concept and composition were inspired by the nonsense these four get themselves into during voice chats.
