As I’m sure everyone knows by now in this fandom, the 10th anniversary of MLP:FiM just recently occurred! What better way to celebrate it than with some awesome brony music? In this track, expect a positively chill experience, composed of electronic music, backed up with smooth drum beats. The song itself has a late-night mood to it, which, in my opinion, really adds to the festive anniversary feel. Overall, expect chill vibes from this awesome track!

Daniel Ingram – The Magic of Friendship Grows (loophoof & R3CTIFIER Remix) | Electropop
Today we’ve got ourselves something special, everypony! For the tenth anniversary of Friendship is Magic loophoof and R3CTIFIER made a stunning remix of the final show song, “The Magic of Friendship Grows”, but before I venture into complete fanboying territory let’s get to the bottom of this amazing track. The song starts out with Twilight’s first lines and a simple, slower beat, but don’t let that deceive you! This is not a slow song by any means, and the beat quickly starts building up signalling an incoming chorus; then, after a single note, the drop happens. The drop is an explosion of awesome sound, and the combination of amazing lyrics and fantastic beat is sure to make you jump up and dance. The calmer beat returns for Pinkie’s part before ticking up again as Rainbow takes over, building up again and again to that one specific note and another drop. The amazing chorus takes over again, this time while we are shown scenes from the School of Friendship, and if you didn’t dance before I guarantee you will now. Applejack’s lyrics are accompanied by the calmer beat and a soothing melody as we are given some breathing space, which continues through Rarity’s part, but the tone shifts as Fluttershy sings, and we build up again. This time we don’t hear the single note and get an even better drop with an even more upbeat beat as we see all of the secondary characters that we all love. And then the ending. The ending is just…wow. For the ending loophoof and R3CTIFIER recreated the original melody with a tear jerking synth that really gives this song a worthy conclusion as we see the Mane 6 for one last time and close the book on Friendship is Magic.

Daniel Ingram & Lena Hall – The Magic Inside (RedSpark Remix) | Electronic
Today we’ve got ourselves a remix with surprises from the talented RedSpark. The song remixed, The Magic Inside by Daniel Ingram and Lena Hall, is without a doubt one of the best songs from the show. But enough of me fanboying over great songs–let’s get to the bottom of this fantastic remix! The track starts out with a happy beat that gives you the feeling of lying on a beach just chilling out, and you can hear The Magic Inside‘s theme playing quietly in the background. Suddenly the beat stops and gives way to the amazing voice of Lena Hall while the music begins to alternate between the original song and RedSpark’s amazing arrangement. Rounding into the chorus, RedSpark plays around a bit with some vocal chops that add an amazing electronic flair, and the beat and singing of the full chorus combine for an awesome effect. Then, BOOM–suddenly everything stops; then some excellent orchestral parts set in which are sure to surprise you on your first listen through. After some time they are joined by a simple beat and shortly thereafter by the amazing vocals, which makes for an odd but fantastic combination. After that more vocal chops join the build up into the final chorus. For the grand finale everything is combined–the orchestral pieces, the vocal chops, everything you’ve heard in the song before is present here–and it makes for a stunning conclusion!

RedSpark – Starlight’s Revenge | Electro
Today we’ve got ourselves a lovely Electro tune from Red Spark. This Starlight-themed track starts out with a lovely Electro beat that is going to be stuck inside your head for days. After that the beat changes and a catchy melody joins in and is supported by a buildup leading into a drop, and oh boy, the drop is going to put you on your hooves dancing! Starlight’s subtlety evil laugh heralds the shift in beat, this one even catchier than the one before. After you’ve danced your heart out, the track calms down for a bit while still maintaining its awesomeness with the beat returning to it’s beginning form. The beat again changes until it returns to another build up, and finally with another evil Starlight laugh the chorus comes back, and you once more feel yourself dancing until the song ends.

MirroredReality – Discordant | Psytrance
Today we’ve got ourselves an amazing Psytrance track by MirroredReality. This song is all about Discord, and boy does it encapsulate the feeling you have if you think about what the God of Chaos could do. The song starts out surprisingly upbeat and builds up that feeling, as if it wants to fool you into a false sense of happiness, then slowly adds creepier elements until it calms down again, this time fully embracing the Psytrance vibe while building up again, and then the drop happens. The chorus has a rather upbeat melody but fills it with chilling synths to really create an awesome contrast. After the beat calms down again, it once more embraces the chilling vibe until it changes the beat to a similar sounding oriental style that slowly builds up and gives us another chorus, but this time it sounds different; the more upbeat melody is gone and is replaced by more chilling trance tunes. After that, for the big finale, both choruses are combined to really drive home the chilling atmosphere.

Spikey Wikey – Loudmouth VIP | Dubstep
Louder! Louder! Louder, is the sentiment of this recent release from the proficient producer/musician Spikey Wikey. Acting as a VIP for a former piece by him, this piece, once again, reaches the boundaries of connection between sound design and rhythm. Heavy dynamics and a subtle yet familiar and fluttery voice also contribute to the utter sleaze of this tunage. Dirty and hard is this dubstep track, yet it’s not absent of melodies in its second half. The original piece from which this sick number was made is a tune inspired by the classic two-step psychedelic dubstep style, yet this variation finds a way to modernize that ditty into a cutting-edge definition of dubstep. This is truly the intent of a remix, to transform something into something else entirely whilst retaining its image. Also, be sure to keep a look out for Spikey Wikey’s upcoming EP, Wavetable Wizard, which this tune originates from.
[P@D] L-Train – Paint The Moon Red (feat. Koa, TheMusicReborn, Zephysonas & General Mumble) | Electro Swing
So, everypony, it’s finally here. This is the first pre-release from the 21st Ponies at Dawn compilation album “Eclipse“. This song is kind of the Luna version of “Daybreaker Boogie”, and this time L-Train got some more people to help make this song awesome…and they did! But enough fanboying from me–let’s get to the bottom of this wonderful Swing piece. The track starts out amazingly with a saxophone solo supported by an awesome beat; then the incredible voice of Koa enters and sings about how Luna is back, and she’s ready to swing after a thousand years on the moon. The beat slowly ramps up in the background until the saxophone takes over again for the chorus. After the amazing chorus Koa chimes in once more, singing about how we should all throw down to our hearts’ content until the palace can’t handle us anymore, and the saxophone takes over again, this time supported by vocal chops from Koa. As the saxophone keeps on grooving, Koa sings again about dancing completely fancy free. Honestly, this is an amazing track that I have no words for other than that my first reaction was to bob my head along at 4 in the morning.

ArdhyM – Charge | Progressive House
Today we’ve got some breathtaking House Music from ArdhyM. The song starts out with an already amazing beat, that slowly ramps up to give us an amazing drop supported by Applejack’s best “Ye haw”. The drop keeps rolling and keeps you dancing until it ramps up and get’s even more awesome! After some time the beat changes but still stay’s with the upbeat until it goes silent only to slowly grow louder and supported by several vocal samples it goes back up and louder until it hit’s the drop once more into the absolute awesomeness, the beat continues up some time more until it fades out and in what an amazing way! This might just be the best end to a song I’ve ever heard.

SpinScissor – My Tantibus | Electropop
Based on Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?, My Tantibus tells us all about Luna’s inner struggle with her thoughts as they overcome her mind. All the electronic effects from the distorted voice representing the Tantibus to the strong warbling bassline in the background that adds to the dark vibe the song gives off, there’s a lot to love here. SpinScissor has a great voice, and that synth solo that closes out the song is a great climax!
