FilledSilhoutte is back with their last album under their aforementioned alias and I have to say its a really treat of funky and fresh vibes all around! A great assortment of fifteen future funk and french house tracks and if you aren’t already familiar with Silhoutte’s style and flare, you are in for a TREAT!
Spikey Wikey is back with a new pony song and it’s always such a treat! This time it’s the speedy Dash taking the spotlight, with a Speed House/Garage tune fitting her! You can hear her taunting you in the song, like you can’t handle the high BPM of this unusual Garage! Will you be able to keep up? Grab it from Bandcamp with the VIP of Loudmouthhere!
Spreading around positive messages and the values from the show are what makes us bronies! And what better way to do it than with the voices of our beloved ponies themselves! Skyshard did wonderful making use of pony voice generator 15.ai and imbuing the previously released song Fireworks (part of the EP Hearth’s Warming Stories vol. 1) with such important messages to try to change the world. With more people hearing this, and most importantly, actually applying those messages, the world will be a better place! For Equestria!
Nyancat380 has released an album just before the new year showcasing seven of their unreleased songs as a Christmas gift to us. Its quite an interesting little excerpt and each track has a distinct element.
Today we’ve got ourselves another amazing track from A State Of Sugar’s “Chocolate” Album. Cynifree brings us an awesome Future House track featuring some lovely Flutters Vocal chops. The track starts out with a catchy drum loop that’s quickly joined by all sorts of other amazing stuff and turns into a lovely melody accompanied by vocal chops of our favorite shy horse! Later on the melody changes a bit only to change back later which gives the song an interesting progression that’s more like different chapters to the song rather than verses and drops. Closer to the end we do actually get a drop that really feels like another chapter since it never really comes back down and rather combines with other elements for sort of a final chapter. This article was proofread by thecanderson, so big thanks to him!
So, everypony, today we’ve got an album full of amazing randomness by Zizkil. The whole album is a compilation of unfinished songs he made over time, and it includes both small pieces of unfinished songs and songs that are pretty much finished but haven’t been released. He himself says that some songs on this album might be considered cringe, but either way there’s a plethora of different genres on it! This article’s intention is to highlight some of these great songs, both short and long, because there really is some good stuff on here!
Today we’ve got ourselves a first, everypony! I proudly present to you the first featured song of Heartlead. “Downtown Housepony” is a lovely house track that goes all out for seven whole minutes and still keeps everything fresh and new, never getting boring. The track starts us off with an amazing beat that is quickly joined by an equally awesome drum loop and some more components as the song continues. Close to the middle of the track another synth takes over center stage, and we have more of the awesome progression that keeps this track at a stellar grade, and the progression never stops! I could gush on for pages about the progression and the changes and vocal chops in this track, but I think you get the point, so go on and listen to it yourself!
Massive thanks to my friend thecanderson for proofreading this article!
Today everypony we return to MirroredReality, who brings us an amazing House/Psytrance mix song about the greatest and most powerful Magician and Showmare in Equestria! The track starts out extremely catchy but only gives you enough time to realize what a masterpiece you’ve stumbled on before it throws the first build up and drop at you. In the drop especially you can hear the Psytrance elements shining but always with this happy house vibe. After the drop ends the song transitions more and more into this darker Psytrance vibe until the second drop fully embraces it, which makes for a lovely progression. After the second drop we return once more to the happy upbeat melody which is quickly replaced by a more mysterious beat only to be added back on, making for an odd but just as awesome combination. For a third drop we get a combination of drops one and two for a final progression. As an outro we once more get the happy House/Psytrance melody from the beginning.
Okay, everypony, before I get into my whole article spiel I’ll have to explain something: This song is absolutely amazing, and I have way more stuff to say than normal, so after the main Article there will be a part of me rambling about arguably small details and things that I specifically loved. You can read the extra part or not; it won’t take anything away from the main article (I should also mention that while I try to keep my articles as objective as possible the extra part will be entirely subjective).
So, everypony, today we have another track from P@D’s recent charity album “Introspection”, and what a pleasure it is for me to talk about this one! BlackIceMusic brings us this amazing remix of “Best of Friends”, a Future Bounce track that is sure to make you not only nod along but will even get you jumping up and down to the beat (You could even say it will make you bounce!). The track starts out with a lovely bounce melody that will give you an initial feeling for how great this track is. The amazing vocals by PegasYs quickly join in, and they are (as far as I can tell) not altered at all. As the vocals start the beat takes a back seat only to quickly ramp up again while the song becomes increasingly melodic as we get close to the drop. For the last few pre-drop lines the beat becomes more and more like the original but still keeps its own identity. The drop is just an explosion of fun bounce melodies and is pretty faithful to the original. As the drop ends the song progresses as it did before with first having a quieter beat that quickly ramps up again, but in between it switches to a different beat, again staying close to the original but still having its own sound and appeal. The second drop is slightly different from the first and gives the whole song a lovely progression. For the finale we get the last lines from PegasYs, but instead of ending there this remix ends on some more of the amazing beat.
Ok, even for me, when you see Nyancat’s name on a track, the normal action is to strap in and hold on tight for his brand of over-the-top musical assault on your ears. HOWEVER he throws a very unexpected curveball here. A remix that is a mixing of his style with some pretty amazing hip-hop beats for one of the most underrated songs from the Equestria Girls. The song really plays up the vibe of Sci-Twi at a real crossroads in this song, and, honestly, it works. The lyrics are sped up and the vocals are distorted enough to really add to the drama of this song, and it’s a very welcomed delight thanks to the skills of Nyancat380! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
