Ditherer Fussbudget – 12 Month Vacation (prod. mcmiag) | Hip-Hop

Language Warning!

After a bit of a quiet spell, Ditherer has returned on a hot streak, this time with the very fitting talents of mycutiemarkisagun who sets the stage with a vintage hip-hop instrumental. Ditherer brings his trademark flow rapping about everything and anything that’s been going on. Never one to shy away from saying what is on his mind, it is fantastic to see that Ditherer is still genius, introspective personality we fell in love with in recent years!

Rubber – Equestria, 1:10AM (feat. ZD) (Prod. Prod Odist) | Hip-Hop

Rubber continues their run of strong hip-hop offerings with this fourth-wall-breaking collaboration with longtime fandom videographer and rapper ZD that was mixed and mastered by Nevermourn. Together they take a delightfully dark look at the unsettling and dangerous streets of Equestria in the early hours of the morning. Rubber’s and ZD’s creative lyrics flow nicely over the music box melody and beats. There’s even a great section where ZD delivers a spoken passage that has an awesome horror film vibe, which is a nice touch. The whole delivery works amazingly well with Rubber’s artwork, which manages at once to be comical and unsettling. A great offering for fans of hip-hop and anyone who likes their Equestrian music a little on the dark side!

Aoshi – FluttERR (feat. Fluttershy) (PSFMer Remix) | Jersey Club

Disclaimer: This is about the remix from the original song, not the original song, and while at times it may seem like I’m talking down on one song, I intend to compare and contrast the two.
So my take on this remixed version of fluttERR from the original, well going back and listening to both for the first time, and by a side by side character I prefer the remix. Both are talented able and potential musicians, but something stood out to me more than the tune, cords, bass or vocals was the rhythm and theme of the music. The remix sticks with the same theme all the way through with a little surprises here and there. while the original seems to jump from theme to theme, its dubstep one second, hiphop, then electro the next and its rather distracting, but still a good song and im sure it was amazing in its prime. The remix is a fun remix you almost want to dance to, as stated in the comments you could get a wrong idea with some of the lyrics it depends on the person, it sticks with a select set of vocals to accommodate the beat and rhythm of the song. With how the song is set up you can tell its a remix, but in my opinion a rather good one, it has a great drop. the little addition of a new piece every few seconds such as a squeek, grunt (or moan whichever you prefer) the bass, is a rather fun addition, while this song is only 2 min 11 seconds its a great listen to and I recommend it! only thing i wish is that it was longer, great job PSFMer, with both the cover piece and the song, i cant wait to see more of your work in the future!

[VibePoniez] CAPT (Notion Pova) – i miss everypony (Cookie) | Lo-Fi

When I found out CAPT over at Equestria Terror Corps made it on this album, I was pretty happy for him. Making it onto his first compilation album VibePoniez: Homework. The track centers around the Pony Life episode: ” I, Cookie”, where Pinkie is alone and getting pretty creative about keeping herself entertained.

The music itself is this dreamy and kinda eerie sounding lo-fi beat, and it kinda fits because of what Pinkie is dealing with in that episode: animated cookies of her friends! The Lo-Fi flow and beat is very unique in the sense that with it, there is this flavor of insanity as if you listen close to all the vocal chops used. It’s pretty nice for the theme of this track. No wonder this track made it on the album. Give CAPT some love for trying something new! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.

Vylet Pony – Cozy Pone | Lo-fi Hip-Hop

Vylet Pony’s new track “Cozy Pone” is nothing short of spectacular and invitingly comfortable, let yourself be carried away by the smooth chords, hypnotic hip hop drums and ukulele solo part that plays from time to time in the piece. The video of this song is also animated by no one other than the Vylet Pony, which turned out great and it all together gives it a spectacular and harmonious air, but I already talked too much, just relax and remember the good times, let yourself go home, to the times where everything was a little bit simpler…

Sound Bandit & Fin – You Smooze U Lose | Hip-Hop

(The following track has small amount of Adult Language, You been advised)
Presenting the winner of the 2nd dustcar compo! (if you don’t know what that is click here)
This is a surprisingly good vibing hip-hop track from both Sound Bandit and Fin. The topic of the race was MLP baddies. The lyrics flow very nicely and mixes the narrative of riding in the dust car, giving a vision of villains like Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, Sombra, Tirek, Cozy Glow, Daybreaker and Grogar in the back of this car chilling to this track. The video that goes with this track is fun and cute, plus the shout out to OG G1 villains: the witches Hydia and her daughters who released the Smooze in the G1 MLP movie as the background footage for the video! There’s a lot of humor and swag to these too in this song, so check it out for yourself. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself. Oh if you’re feeling creative, there is a fun bit at the end of the track that asks for fans to take part in!

Rubber & APPL3JVCK – King of the Everfree | Hip-Hop

On this hard-hitting track featuring explicit lyrics and smooth flowing bars and a beat by APPL3JVCK, Rubber raps about ruling the Everfree forest. The multi-layered beat evolves through each of the distinct parts and provides the perfect mood change from the slick and cool introduction to the other-worldly warbles of the closing verses. The vocals are confidently delivered and the beat expertly crafted into a song that wonderfully induces head-bobbing throughout.
A double A-plus to the cover art provided by the rapper himself. Rubber has shown that he is certainly not afraid of touching on dark topics, lyrical themes, and moods. MLP with a veneer of the macabre? That’s the kind of thing that’s right up my alley. Rubber is newer to the scene with two songs on his youtube channel. I would highly recommend both if you enjoy a smooth flow and dark themes. This just might be the up-and-comer to watch for as his musical prowess grows along with his library of tunes.
